Greenwood Band and Irish Guard Launches Shoe Drive Fundraiser to Raise Money for our amazing organization!

Greenwood Band and Irish Guard is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser kicking off on December 11 th at the Christmas Band Concert and running through March 7 th of 2026, to raise funds for our organization for a variety of needs.

Greenwood Band and Irish Guard will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Those dollars will benefit our organization as a whole to support various needs within the organization.

Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used and new shoes at the Greenwood High School Band Dept. All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise and small business partners. Funds2Orgs works with micro-entrepreneurs in helping them create,
maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunities and jobs are limited.

Proceeds from the sales of the shoes collected in shoe drive fundraisers are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send her son to law school.

We are so excited about our shoe drive. We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money for our organization, and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win for
everyone. By donating gently worn, used and new shoes to the Greenwood Band and Irish Guard, the shoes will
be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives around the world.

Please bring gently used shoes to the Christmas Concert on December 11 th at the Greenwood Highschool to kick off this exciting fundraiser!!! We will be there to collect the shoes at the doors of the auditorium. We are hoping that this kick-off will be the start to a major fundraiser for our organization. Help us help you clean out your closets! See you on Thursday December 11 th for the kick off of this great event!
